The Javett Art Centre at the University of Pretoria (Javett-UP) invites you to the workshop Tshwane/ Pretoria During The Great War which will explore Pretoria’s narratives, experiences and influences from World War One.
You will first watch two Virtual Reality Experiences and discuss them with the creative and academic producers, Paul Long (Creative Director, MBD Ltd.) and Professor Stefan Manz (Aston University Birmingham, UK). This will be followed by the launch of a Learning Resource with Dr Anne Samson (Great War in Africa Association).
The workshop is a lead up to our groundbreaking exhibition We, The Purple that is coming soon.
